Key Components and Features

3500/05 Instrument Frame

  • Supports multiple mounting options (19” EIA rack, panel, wall).
  • Houses power modules, rack interface module, and up to 14 other modules.

3500/15 Power Supply

  • Available in AC and DC versions.

  • Supports single or redundant power configurations.

  • Features self-checking functions and status LEDs.

    LED Functionality:

    • Supply OK: Indicates the power module is installed or has transitioned from NOT OK to OK status.

3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM)

  • Connects the 3500 frame to configuration, display, and monitoring software.

  • Provides self-check functions and manages system status.

  • Equipped with a System OK relay and multiple communication options.

    The RIM has four front panel LEDs:

    • OK: Indicates the RIM and its I/O modules are functioning correctly.
    • TX/RX: Flashes when the RIM communicates with other modules.
    • TM: Indicates the frame is in Interlock Multiply mode.
    • CONFIG OK: Indicates the frame configuration is correct.

3500/22M Transient Data Interface (TDI)

  • Interfaces with System 1™ software.
  • Captures and stores transient data.
  • Replaces the 3500/20 RIM, combining monitoring and communication functions.

Keyphasor Input Module (3500/25)

  • Supports up to four Keyphasor sensors per frame.

  • Provides power and terminals for sensor connections.

  • Essential for speed, phase, and tracking filter measurements.

    The TDI module LEDs function as follows:

    • OK: Indicates the TDI module and its I/O module are operating correctly.
    • TX/RX: Flashes when the system is transmitting and receiving data.
    • TM: Indicates the frame is in Interlock Multiply mode.
    • CONFIG OK: Indicates the frame configuration is correct.

3500/92 Communication Gateway

  • Transmits digital data to various systems using multiple protocols.
  • Supports Ethernet and serial communication.
  • Enables bidirectional communication and network integration.

Monitor Modules

  • Various types support different monitoring needs (vibration, displacement, speed, temperature).
  • Each module occupies one frame slot and provides specialized monitoring functions.

Relay Modules (3500/32, 3500/34 TMR)

  • Trigger alarms based on specific conditions.
  • Supports complex alarm logic and redundancy.

System Features

  • Tamper-Proof Design: Two levels of password protection and a keyswitch prevent unauthorized configuration changes.
  • Alarm/Event List: Stores the last 1000 alarms and 400 system events with timestamps, accessible through display devices or communication gateways.
  • Time Synchronization: Synchronizes with external clocks to align event timestamps across different systems.
  • Hot-Swappable Modules: Allows maintenance and expansion without interrupting system operation or machinery protection.
