Safe-state Behavior (FAILOPT) The Series 8 AO module supports the FAILOPT parameter on a per channel basis. Each channel can be configured to either HOLD LAST VALUE or SHED to a SAFE VALUE. In case of IOM device electronics failure, the output will default to zero, the safe state.
