DI814 Digital Input Module, 24 V, Current Sourcing

Description

The DI814 is a 16-channel, 24 V digital input module with current sourcing for the S800 I/O. It operates within an input voltage range of 18 to 30 volts DC, with an input current source of 6 mA at 24 V. The inputs are divided into two individually isolated groups, each containing eight channels and one voltage supervision input.

Each input channel includes current limiting components, EMC protection components, an input state indication LED, and an optical isolation barrier. The process voltage supervision input generates channel error signals if the voltage disappears, which can be read through the ModuleBus.

The input channels support digital filtering with selectable filter times of 2, 4, 8, and 16 ms. Noise pulses shorter than the filter time are filtered out, while pulses longer than 3, 6, 12, and 24 ms pass through the filter.
