DO814 Digital Output Module

Description

The DO814 is a 16-channel 24 V digital output module with current sinking for the S800 I/O system. The output voltage range is 10 to 30 volts, and the maximum continuous current sinking is 0.5 A. The outputs are protected against short circuits and over temperature, ensuring reliable operation. Each output channel features:

• Short Circuit and Over Temperature Protection: The outputs are current limited, and if overloaded, the output current sinking will be limited. The output will shut down if the temperature exceeds 150°C (302°F) and will automatically switch on again when the temperature drops to about 140°C (284°F).
• EMC Protection Components: Ensures electromagnetic compatibility
• Inductive Load Suppression: Prevents damage from inductive loads
• Output State Indication LED: Provides visual feedback of the output state
• Optical Isolation Barrier: Provides isolation for safety and signal integrity

The process voltage supervision input provides channel error signals if the voltage disappears. The error signal can be read via the ModuleBus.
