Accessories for I/O Modules The 1756-TBE Extended Terminal Block Housing is an accessory designed to enhance the connection between your plant wiring and 1756 I/O modules.

Removable Terminal Blocks (RTBs) RTBs provide a flexible interconnection solution for 1756 I/O modules. The RTB plugs into the front of the I/O module, with options for screw-clamp or spring-clamp types. Note that RTBs are not included with I/O modules and must be ordered separately. Standard housings may not accommodate 2.5 mm² (14 AWG) wiring, so if you require this wire size, you should order the extended housing.

Wiring Systems For an efficient and streamlined wiring process, consider the following pre-configured systems:

• Interface Modules (IFMs): Provide I/O terminal blocks for Digital I/O modules, compatible with prewired cables that connect the I/O module to the IFM.
• Analog Interface Modules (AIFMs): Provide I/O terminal blocks for Analog I/O modules, also using prewired cables that connect the I/O module to the AIFM.
• I/O Module-Ready Cables: One end of the cable assembly is an RTB that plugs into the front of the I/O module, with individually color-coded conductors on the other end that connect to a standard terminal block.
