Installation & Wiring Guide
Mount the 1790D-T0V32 module on a DIN rail. Connect your 24V DC field power supply. For sinking outputs, wire one side of your load (e.g., an indicator lamp) to the positive (+) of your field power. Connect the other side of the load to the module's output terminal. When activated, the output sinks current to ground, completing the circuit. Crucially, balance your loads so that the total current for each 16-point common group (COM1 or COM2) does not exceed the 4.0 Amp limit.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the main benefit of such a high channel count?
It consolidates control, reducing the number of DeviceNet nodes, IP addresses, and physical modules to purchase, wire, and configure. This lowers cost and simplifies system architecture for machines with dozens of actuators.
How do I manage the 4.0A limit per common group?
Plan your wiring by dividing your 32 devices into two logical groups of 16. Ensure the sum of the current draw of all devices in Group 1 (using COM1) is ≤4.0A, and similarly for Group 2 (using COM2).
Can I use this module as a standalone unit?
Yes, it can function as a standalone 32-output node. As a "Base" module, it also has the capability to have additional "Expansion" I/O modules attached to it to form a block with mixed I/O types.
What does the 1 byte of input data represent?
The single input byte typically provides module-wide status information, such as a communication health flag or a summary fault bit, rather than individual channel status (which is shown by the LEDs).
Is it suitable for driving small relays directly?
Absolutely. With a 0.5A capacity, it can directly drive the coils of many small industrial relays, PLC input cards, or pilot lights, making it perfect for interposing and logic expansion.
