3300 XL 8 mm Probe – rugged by design
- Bently Nevada engineered the 3300 XL Proximity Probes with a thicker PPS tip encapsulation. This construction withstands severe physical abuse in industrial environments.
- The patented TipLoc molding creates a robust bond between probe tip and body. CableLoc technology provides 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength for secure cable retention.
- You can specify the optional FluidLoc cable to prevent oil leakage through the interior. This feature maintains machine integrity in lubricated environments.
- AISI 303 or 304 stainless steel case offers superior corrosion resistance. The probe operates from -52°C to +218°C with extended temperature range options.

Mounting and wiring guidelines
- Use 3-conductor shielded triad cable (16 to 24 AWG) for field wiring. Maximum lead length: 305 meters (1000 feet) to the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor.
- Maintain the recommended –9 Vdc gap setting for radial vibration monitoring. This equals approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils).
- The 3/8-24 UNF thread allows easy installation in standard mounting holes. You do not need special tools.
- Avoid temperatures below –34°C (–30°F) during operation to preserve the pressure seal integrity.

- Q: Can I use this probe with a 9 m extension cable? Yes, the system works with 9 m cables, but ISF accuracy becomes ±6.5% and DSL < ±0.038 mm.
