DI840 Digital Input Module
Description
The DI840 is a 16 channel 24 V d.c. digital input module suitable for single or redundant applications. The input voltage range is 18 to 30 V d.c., with an input current of 7 mA at 24 V d.c. Each input channel includes current limiting components, EMC protection components, input state indication LED, and an optical isolation barrier.
The module performs self-diagnostics cyclically, with the following capabilities:
- External Channel Error: Reports process power supply supervision and transducer over current supervision (error detection time < 500 ms).
- Internal Channel Error: Tests internal channel circuitry with test patterns (error detection time < 100 ms).
- Module Error: Reports errors in the common parts of the test functions (error detection time 12 ms).
