Important Description

The RX3i Serial Bus Transmitter Module (IC695LRE001) is designed to facilitate communication between a PACSystems RX3i Universal Backplane (IC695-model number) and serial expansion or remote backplanes (IC694- or IC693-model numbers). The module translates signal levels from the Universal Backplane to those required by a Serial Expansion Backplane. It must be installed in the special expansion connector at the right end of the Universal Backplane. Two green LEDs indicate the module's operating status and the status of the expansion link: the EXP OK LED lights up when 5V power is applied to the module, and the Expansion Active LED indicates whether the module is communicating with expansion backplanes.
