This termination plug is used in systems expanded with the IM 460-3 (sender) and IM 461-3 (receiver) pair. After installing all your expansion racks and connecting them with the 468-3 interface cables, locate the last IM 461-3 module in the physical chain (farthest from the central rack). Insert the 6ES7461-3AA00-7AA0 termination plug firmly into its dedicated socket on that module. This completes the bus circuit. Do not install it on any module other than the last IM 461-3.
